WPSP Pro 1.0 for live site?

I wantet to renew my WPSP Licence, to use WPSP Pro 1.0 cards and carusel on a live site. But as far as i can see, this version ist still in beta and has no updates in almost a year. can this be true, or am i missing something?

Is it safe tp use this version on a live site?
Is there still development?
