Hi,
I have unlimited license for WPRocket which I used to optimize my other WordPress themes. Do you recommend using WPRocket on your GeneratePress, or you feel I should be able to achieve all necessary optimizations for high GTMetrix score without adding plugin like that one?
I added WPRocket to your theme to try to solve lazyload issue reported by GTMetrix you can see here: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/attention.cc/EzB9Kv8T/ - but after installation of WPRocket nothing happened. Do you have any ideas on how to solve lazyload issue with YouTube embed code I added through GenerateBlocks? I can give you login to my website if you want to try it - this is development server so it doesn't matter if you break anything.
I really would like my GTMetrix score to remain at 100% like it was when I initially installed your theme, so I am hoping that by doing lazy load fix as suggested by GTMetrix on this YouToub code will help me achieve this.

Moreover, you could also probably test here as well: https://pagespeed.web.dev/ to see if there is any difference regarding your website’s performance with or without caching.

Are you saying I am using different fonts on mobile and desktop version of the website? If so I will fix it, but please confirm that this is what you are saying as I am not sure how you generated that video.

No, what I mean is that the font-display property of your font Oswald is set to swap. This means that on initial load, the browser will display its system font. Then, the font changes to the Google font, Oswald, when it has been loaded.
This is what most likely is causing the CLS.
You may want to speak with WP Rocket if they may assist you regarding this. I believe your font is being optimized through WP Rocket.

Is your blog theme "Read" using Oswald fonts or system fonts?
The fonts in your theme look really nice. Maybe you are using system fonts to speed up your theme?
Google fonts, like Oswald, take time to get downloaded. I see in GTMetrix it takes 778ms to download fonts from this link:

I was the one adding Oswad fonts and yesterday and I think I messed it up. I really would like to get the theme up to 100%.
The whole reason why I switched to your team is because default installation gives me 100% speed on GTMetrix.
Yes, it is. If you would like to remove the Google fonts used to resolve this issue, you may do this through Appearance > Customize > Typography. Doing so should revert your fonts to using default system fonts.
Alternatively, you could also try hosting the fonts locally in your website. In turn, the fonts will be requested from your site itself as opposed to it being requested from Google all the time.

This is interesting that one can store fonts locally to speed up the website. I switched all the fonts from Google Fonts to System Fonts and my website is now back to 100%.
You did not answer part of the question - is your original theme Read using Google Fonts or System Fonts?
