Daniel
Hi,
on my website i use WP Show Posts to display my work. I noticed that the most featurd images are broken here:
https://netzspinnerei.at/referenzen/
I tried deactivating all other plugins and also re-uploading the images – both did not change anything.
The img tag looks like this:
<img />
Please help me find out why this has broken.
Thanks,
DanielDecember 13, 2019 at 4:31 am #1103078David

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperAre the images coming from a CDN or a different domain at all? It looks like something is conflicting with the image resizer. Usually, it’s because the image isn’t hosted locally.
Here’s a workaround: https://wpshowposts.com/support/topic/show-posts-images-not-working/#post-8324

Hi Tom,
i thought of this too – but no – no cdn.
If you click on the missing image you are directed to the single post – the image is showing up there.
Inspired by your workaround i changed the size of the images from 800 to 750px. They are showing up now. When i change back to 800 they are gone again. I also regenerated the thumbnails.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperThat’s super strange – I wonder if something became corrupt at that image size. What if you delete those sizes from your server in the
wp-content/uploads
folder?Documentation: http://docs.generatepress.com/

I tried that and deleted all 800px-thumbnails. But whenever i set the size to 800px width in WP Show Posts no image shows up. I tried 805px and it worked. Very strange…

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperThat’s very strange. We’re planning on scrapping the current image resizer completely as it has a few other bugs as well.

Yeah, that’s probably a good idea.
Thanks for doing your best in solving this issue.
Best regards,
