WP show posts 'Featured Posts" customization

Hi
Can you help me figure a way out to customise the featured post in the 'WP Show Posts'.

I would like the featured posts to be wider and different from post columns. Also, when i set the columns to 4 with featured image option ticked

The page shows

Featured image followed by 3 columns instead of 4 as it does not balance the page composition well.

also is there a customisation feature in GP which I can use to resize the title, excerpt and keep reading features.
