This support thread is about WP show posts, If there is a better place to post this question please let me know.
Is there a way to have a dropdown filter above the posts grid which will allow the user to select a post category to display and they will refresh via ajax?
Also, is there an option to add a "Load More" button under the posts?

the Pro version comes with Ajax Paginations and Load More.
Filters however are not a feature.

Any tips on how to achieve the category filter above the wp-show-posts grid?
I don't think its actually possible with WPSP in its current form - it would take a code rewrite to do that.
