wp show post

i am currently using wp show post to display post on a static page and its titled "all" because i want it to show all the post i want my visitors to see and in settings i use the following settings:
post types -- post
taxonomy ---categories
and i selected all categories and everything has been fine until i created a new category and i dont want the posts in that category to be displayed on this page. so i didnt click the category under taxonomy but it is still displaying posts from the category and i dont know how to exclude it.
