Wordsmith Theme Header Stuck

I've tried getting rid of the Header for the Wordsmith premade site theme for hours, but it remains. I can't delete the Wordsmith logo or the header/box.
Would appreciate your help. Thanks!

have you deleted the Site Logo from the Customizer > Site Identity ?
Yes, many times. Regardless of what I try, the original header remains.
I notice that the header is stuck only on the Home page and the blog page. It looks like those pages do not have Global Header Page elements assigned.
When I make the Global Page Headers set to: Visibility: Public in Appearance>Elements>Global Page Headers > Publish box in top right, then all of the pages are correct except the Home Page and the Blog page.
So, it appears that the Home Page and Blog page are not using the Global Header element. Can you tell me how to fix that?
Just now I tried to set the Global Header element in the Admin to "Page" in hopes that would do it, but instead it erased the Global Header element from the Appearances>Elements list entirely. Now, the global header is gone from Every page of the site.
I really need your help to 1) restore the global header element in the Element list in the Admin and 2) instruct on how to make the Home page and Blog page include the Global Header element so I can deal with the Header being stuck on those 2 pages.
I wish GeneratePress would offer a paid support option. Waiting for a response this way makes it very difficult to do business in real time.

Well thats weird... would you be able to provide me with temporary admin login so i can see whats happening? You can share the URL/Login details in the Private Information field.

I removed the Logo :)
In the Customizer, the save option ( cog at top the customizer ) was set to Save as Draft - i changed this to publish, and then simply added a logo and then removed the logo to make sure it was gone.
I appreciate that. I don't know exactly where you mean though for that setting.
It looks like all of the pages are now correct except for the home page. The home page looks like there is a site logo obscuring another identical site logo?
In the Customizer, when you make a change you will see a cog icon beside the beside the Publish / Save Draft button label:

By clicking the icon it will allow you to change its purpose. It was set to Save as Draft and needed to be set to Publish.
Edit your Home page and remove the Featured Image. This is the second logo whats being displayed above the content.
