Wordpress version 5.9 bugs
9 replies · Started by Oskar on January 25, 2022
Hello, I just updated to Wordpress 5.9 and now the whole page seems to be messed up. Some of the plugin elements that used to be in the bottom like Yoast are now appearing over the page. And I can't edit the blocks anymore.I'm not sure if it's a Generatepress problem or something with those plugins.

Hi there,
if you temporarily switch to a Twenty Something Theme - does the issue persist ?
Hi David, I just tried that. And it does! Must be one of those plugins then.
In the meantime I encountered another issue, the font color of the text on my Cover images turned black. They were white before. No matter what color I picked in the colors option it stayed black. I solved it by custom css.
What color picker ?
Sorry for the late reply, the Headline block color picker. It works on some blocks and not for others.
Hi Oskar,
Sorry for the late reply, the Headline block color picker. It works on some blocks and not for others.
Are you using the latest version of GenerateBlocks? If not, can you try updating to the latest version?
I believe this was an expected issue for 5.9 w/ the color picker as Tom specifically made an update for this.
See changelog here:
GB - https://generateblocks.com/generateblocks-1-4-1/
GB Pro - https://generateblocks.com/generateblocks-pro-1-1-2/
It's a very short changelog but you can see it mentions about the color picker UI fix. :D
Hi Elvin, Yes using the latest one Version 1.4.1
Hi there,
The font color bug should be fixed in 3.1.2 which we'll be releasing next week.
You can test it here if you'd like: https://github.com/tomusborne/generatepress/tree/release/3.1.2
Thanks Tom! I'll wait for the update!
3.1.2 is now available :)
