[Support request] WordPress editor content too narrow after updating to WordPress 6.1

Hi, I have read a few recent topics in the forum about narrow content in WordPress, but I’m still not sure if it’s the same issue I have.

Also, I’m not even sure at all if this issue has to do with GeneratePress or it’s purely a WordPress thing.

So I set up my Layout in the Customizer with a Content Width of 1300 and padding of 230px on both sides. That renders perfectly on the live site and used to render properly in the WordPress Editor. Now after updating to 6.1 the live site is still fine but the content in the WordPress editor looks so narrow that it is unusable.

can you check for plugin conflicts by temporarily disable ALL plugins except for GeneratePress Premium and GenerateBlocks ?

I forgot to point out that I did that already. I left only GeneratePress and GenerateBlocks plugins on and I still have the same issue.

So, I just deactivated GeneratePress and activated the Twenty Twenty-Three default WordPress theme and the issue seems to disappear.

(still all the plugins but GeneratePress and GenerateBlocks are deactivated)

Any chance you can start a staging site and provide the dashboard access for us to take a look?

We found the issue 🙂

The large left and right content padding you are using created a bug.

It should be fixed in the next release which will hopefully be today or tomorrow.
