Wordfence - Fatal Error: when scanning GP Premium

Hi,

We've been flagged with a false positive on Malwarebytes and are unable to provide a clean log file because we're getting the following error with the scan.

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Attempt to assign property "plugin" on bool in /home/l09hnx31h6ce/public_html/wp-content/plugins/gp-premium/library/class-plugin-updater.php:342 Stack trace: #0 /home/l09hnx31h6ce/public_html/wp-includ

We're obviously unable to turn the plugin off (as the site looks awful without it).

Any help would be appreciated.

any recent changes to the site ? Change in PHP version for example

Nope.

This is our first install of WordFence.

I did note that we're on PHP 8 (Should I downgrade and test?)

It would be odd if it is - but worth trying a downgrade.

Hiya,

Downgrading to 7.4 resolved the issue... well, it went from fatal error to warning.

We would like to move to PHP 8 as soon as possible though.

Hi there,

Is this an error you're seeing on your actual site, or just inside Wordfence?

I'm testing on PHP 8 and I'm not seeing any issues.

Is there a specific page in the Dashboard I should be looking at etc..?
