Why is my Shop page showing the default shop page instead of the page I've customised?

Here's the page I've customised: customised shop page

Did I miss out anything?

Hi Melvin,

When you say you customized a page, do you mean you created a static page?

Yes. I created it and named it “Shop” and the slug is “shop”, too.

I've also made sure the WooCommerce shop page is pointed to that page.

If you want your customized layout the one appearing, you shouldn't point the WooCommerce Shop page to that page. Try leaving it blank. Example: https://share.getcloudapp.com/p9ueX2o9

I've done it but it still didn't work.

Can you try rebuilding your permalinks?

Just go to Settings > Permalinks and hit save.

I've done it a few times already but to no avail.

Done. Please see the link below.

Can you try creating a new static page and assign it as the default Shop Page in WooCommerce > Settings > Products?

Why? Why don't you try pointing it to an existing static page since now you have admin access?

We normally don't make the changes ourselves. We just try to assist our customers on how to address an issue.

Nonetheless, I created a test page for your default Shop page and now /shop page works.

Can you check?

Thanks, Fernando. It works.

But the moment I reassigned the /shop page it as the default Shop Page in WooCommerce > Settings > Products, the same problem happens again.

Does that mean the default shop page with the shop slug doesn't work?

I renamed your page to /booking and now it shows the default shop contents. And the /shop page shows the content I created in the original Shop page. But the WooCommerce shop page is pointed to the /booking page. 😅

It's funny, isn't it?

I'm confused. Wasn't that the goal - to show the content you created in /shop slug?

Yes, it is.

But why did I (or you) have to create a blank page (Booking) with a new URL and point the WooCommerce shop page to that URL (/booking slug) instead of pointing it directly to the Shop (/shop slug) page where I added the content?
