Hi, when I set a product as Catalog visibility: hidden, it doesn´t work and keeps showing it in the search results.

I talked with Woocommerce support team and made a test using Store front Theme and it works in that case, so they told me to contact you to solve the issue.

Thanks

Can you test by activating a Twenty series WP theme and see if the issue occurs there?

I´tested it yesterdey and as said, only works with Storefront.

Thanks

So the issue exists in a Twenty series WP default theme?

In that case, it's definitely not a GP issue and I would recommend following up with WooCommerce support team for a better answer.

If that specific function works in a Twenty series WP theme, it will work in GP.

Thanks for your answer. If it works for Store front it means that perhaps you are not doing the right things and perhaps you should look for the solution aswking your self to the Woocommerce support team how should you do in your theme to make it work. Not me!

Note that I am not talking about a rare third party plugin, I am talking about Woocommerce that I think is more relevant than GP worldwide.

Perhaps GP is not as such good template as it seems and clearly is not because this search does not work in your theme.

You should look for a solution for your theme that is what I purchased and give me a solution.

Storefront is a theme made by WooCommerce and it's not the standard for testing.

This is why my first question was if the same issue occurs when using a Twenty series WP default theme as that is the standard for testing.

If the issue exists with the Twenty series WP default theme as well then cannot be a theme issue - please see the explanation in #4 here:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/debugging-tips/

GP does not have its own search function for WooCommerce - it just uses the default search function from WordPress.

Thanks for your answer. I use Generate Press as theme for a online store with Woocommerce. If Generate Press does not work at all the points with Woocommerce there are only two ways, or stop using Woocommerce or stop using Generate Press. Is easy to know wich one of those I will take.

You can close this thread when you want. Thanks a lot.

No problem :)
