Hi.
After switching from a 3 widget footer to a 5 widget footer and back to 3 again the footer area is not acting as expected. It is wider than the page width – no matter what I set the page width to. Right now I have it at 2000px but when set to – say – 1200px the footer area is still wider than the main content.
In the customizer the inner width is set to match the content.

Would you have a screenshot of how it looked like before or can you provide a sketch/draft?
To be sure as well, have you tried clearing all caching mechanisms set in your site?

Well, after having rebuilt the layout profoundly the issue doesn’t appear anymore.
