Widgets in Customizer menu

Hello,
I have 3 widgets in my site footer. I can see the widgets in the Layout --> Footer --> Widgets set to 3, and I can see them on the backend (Appearance --> Widgets).
However, in the customizer, the Widgets are not present.
Please advise. Can share screenshots if necessary.
