Widget-2 - cannot remove unwanted widget in customize panel

I have the latest version of WP with "generate blocks" as a plugin and I absolute hate it. I can't seem to drag drop elements with ease like in older versions. I cannot seem to remove an unwanted widget which appears to be invisible in the footer widget # 2.
I have provided a screenshot in the link below.

I believe what you want is to disable the block editor in widgets with this PHP snippet:
