I’m trying to understand why GPP does not support REM font size controls? Is there some hidden setting I can use to enable it?

    Hi there,

    Currently CSS is required.

We are looking to completely upgrade the typography module is the next update and will very likely include it πŸ™‚

Still no REM, neither in GP oder GPP Customizer, nor in GB or GBP.
Could you please provide an estimation when REM support will be available?
Thank you in advance and kind regards,
    Sascha

As per my reply to your other reply πŸ™‚

We’re looking at August for the Alpha releases of GPP 2.1 and GP 3.1.

Are REM font size controls still happening? I am using Version: 3.2.4 and I can not find any info on how to set fonts to rem.

    Hi there,

the typography system was upgraded to Dynamic Typography a few updates back.
    See here:

    https://docs.generatepress.com/article/dynamic-typography-overview/

    And that includes REMs

    Hey, appreciate your replying.
So I figured out what my problem was, it is because Dynamic Typography is turned off by default in General settings.
Thanks for pointing me in the “General” direction. </end-dad-joke>.

For older sites, ie. were made before we introduced Dynamic Typography, you have to opt in to it.
On new sites, its the default

Glad to be of help πŸ™‚

Makes sense to me now, I exported my old site’s settings into my new site.
