Hello,

I'd like to install the Intercom live chat on our support page and WooCommerce product pages. Should I add this to Code Snippets or to Elements? Are there settings I can choose that would make sure the script minimizes impact on page speed?

Thanks.

Hi Magaret,

Can you check with Intercom's support team on where exactly the script is supposed to be added?
Then I can advise on the best method to add it.

Are there settings I can choose that would make sure the script minimizes impact on page speed?

This isn't something GP can control - might be a good question for Intercom's support team as well.

Hi Leo,

Thanks for your help. I was able to add Intercom's "add chat to your website" script to wp_footer with an Elements hook. The script is working (screenshot 1).

Intercom has a 2nd script, to "set up live chat for logged-in users" (screenshot 2). I have tried adding this script in the same way, but it is not working (screenshot 3).

Can you tell what the problem might be? I have reached out to Intercom support as well.

Thanks,
Margaret

I'm not sure unfortunately.

You would need to check with Intercom's support team to confirm that wp_footer is the correct place to add the second script as well.
