Hello,
I have a problem with my wordpress-site. Since few days the Site is not shown in full width. I don´t know the problem. Can you help me?
Greetings Thomas
Hi there,
you can use the Page Builder Container meta box to set each page to Full Width:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/page-builder-container/
Or the same option is available in the Layout Element which allows you set which pages/posts etc are full width:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-element-overview/
Hey, thanks for your answer.
I use the "Page Builder by SiteOrigin". It works perfect until the last update.
The way you said, it doesn´t worl, cause it makes the whole site wide. That´s not the right way.
The first method i provided:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/page-builder-container/
Only applies to the page/post it is enabled on. Can you test that - and if the whole site turns full width - leave it enabled and let me know so i can take a look.
Hey... now the start site is in full width.
Is that resolved ?
No... cause the complete site is in full width. I only wnat some elements in full width.
If all of those pages are using your Page Builder then you would need to control their content width within the page builder settings.
Yes... so it is. That I want to do. It works since 5 years :-). But now it doesn´t work :-(.
If the entire site is built with the pagebuilder the do this:
1. Go to Dashboard > Appearance > GeneratePress and enable the Elements Module.
2. Appearance > Elements and create a New Layout Element:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-element-overview/
2.1 Set the Content > Full Width
2.2 Set the Display rules Location to Entire Site.
2.3 Publish the element.
That should force all pages to be fullwidth.
OK... that doesn´t work. Ich have set the site to width 1200.
The page builder tool set some parts on full width. But the full width of the page builder is not working. I think generate press deactivate it.
See here:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-element-overview/#content-1
There is an option to select Full Width ( no padding ). Choose that option and leave the Content Width at 0.
