Where is the 404 page - it's not in the Pages list.

Hi
Great theme so far.I have used the forum multiple times to find solutions to some problems, very helpful.
One thing I cannot find, for the 404 page, I like the style but need to edit it. I cannot find where it is? I've searched the Pages directory, not there.
Can you tell me a) where it is b) how to edit (if not simply using the WP tools.)

404 Page is not a static page its a template.
If you want to create your own then you can use a Block Element - Content Template:

You can create your own layout to replace the themes content.
Just set the Display Rule > Location to 404 Template

Seemed like more coding that I can do so I installed a plugin - the 404 plugin you recommended in other posts.
BTW is there a way to check how large these plugins are? I don't want to bogg down my site since one of the main reasons I chose GP is that it is a lightweight template.

The Block Element - Content Template doesn't require any coding.
You just build out the 404 page in the Block Element and set the Display Rules - thats it really.
Regarding how large a plugin is - no easy tool to check its size. Only way is to test the site with and without the plugin installed.

I see what you meant after working with the template - it was easy, although I did keep the plugin as I had it first.
On the plugin size, some authors do emphasize the lightweight feature of their coding (like GP) so I try to go with those . e.g. the SEO Framework plugin (which I am using) emphasizes clean code.
I did more research - found the largest determinant of site speed is the hosts' server, setup, etc. the number of plugins is secondary - but always good to have lighter plugins.
