Where are my footer widgets?

Hi, I am working with the PIXEL theme, and cannot seem to get the footer area to appear. I have added widgets but they still don’t appear. I know this will be simple, and i have tried to find the solution. But i can’t seem to.
Can anyone help please?

Can you make sure the footer widgets setting in the customizer is not 0?
