When to use global styles and local templates

Hi,
we try to use generatepress in best practice. So we set global styles for every single basic element we use frequently and create local templates for multiple of these elements used in a similar way.

Example: We set global styles for our headlines, textblocks and colored boxes. We combined all of these in a local template called "info boxes", so we don't need to create them manually for every page. Get the local template - insert the individual text - done.

Do we use these features as planned or could we improve our usage further (How?)?

Thanks and cheers.

Interesting. We are talking about page templates? I'm not sure that I got the idea. Could you explain this further?

Hi Karsten,

This is really a support topic / question for GenerateBlocks.
You may want to join up to our GB community to share these ideas:

https://community.generateblocks.com

But to cover off here - thats an excellent method, and the method i use. The Local Templates allow you to add content quickly - including blocks with Global Styles. Just make sure you change the Global Styles if you want to update the Local Templates and any content in your site.

So, this is not a feature of GP but GenerateBlocks? I usually write everything in HTML, so I don't use it. Sorry for the confusion.

Thats correct :)

Thank you

Glad to be of help
