When I create a header element and set header to merge, I am missing options

I've set the merge option to merge, but I can't choose the site logo as in the video or other options. Additionally when I say nav under header, it puts the nav right in the middle.
I guess I never have the option under site header for site-logo or retina logo. How do I get it there?

Can you make sure there is a logo uploaded in the customizer first?
