What's the best way to replicate this home page?

Hi. I'm moving my site over from Genesis to GP.
here's the home page: https://jcdfitness.com/
I'm just digging into how we customize GP and I'm curious...
Would I be able to create a similar template using just the built-in elements?
Or would it be better to use a page builder like Elementor? WOuld that have a massive impact on page speed?
IF I can't do this easily, it's not a big deal breaker. Just curious before I dive into this.
Hi there,
Right now it would be tough, simply because WordPress doesn't have a built-in mechanism for columns.
However, Gutenberg is right around the corner and has a plugin you can install to build your pages now.
GP 2.2 is currently in testing and has full support for Gutenberg (including columns): https://generatepress.com/generatepress-2-2/
Using Gutenberg columns along with some CSS, you could achieve that layout.
Without, you would likely need to use a page builder of some kind (unless you can do pure HTML/CSS).
Hope this helps :)
Thank you so much Tom. 🙏🏻
You're welcome :)
