[Support request] What’s the best way to embed Instagram posts?

Hi there,

I am trying to find out the best way to embed Instagram posts on my articles. IG has an embed code and I have been using that in the Custom HTML block in WP. I don’t know if that is the best way to do this or not. Also, I can’t figure out a way to make the IG post centered or full width, they are always left-justified.

Any suggestions?

We don’t have a recommendation for the best way to embed Instagram Posts in WordPress.

With regards to their alignment, maybe you could try placing them inside a Container Block and set that Container Block to text-align-center. If this doesn’t work, maybe we can modify it manually through custom CSS.

I’d like to also embed my Instagram feed/posts to the sidebar of my site. This was previously very easy with my last theme. How can I embed my feed into the right sidebar of my site?

Hi Lily,

It depends on how the plugin would work.

Usually they will have a shortcode for you to insert into your sidebar using an HTML widget.

Or they will have a widget which you can directly add into your sidebar.
