what is the smallest featured image allowed for the tasty theme?

I want to use 500-600 px for my featured image for the Tasty theme is that okay?
I am currently using 300 px for my in-post images, is it a safe image size to use within my blog articles

There are no restrictions on the featured image size - it can be as small as you want :)
