What is the best way to emulate the top of page post carousel?

Like the one on americanswobsessed.com.
It is composed of a full-width selection of posts with a thumbnail of the featured image, post title linked to the post.
Example: americanswobsessed.com

If so they aren't posts blocks as they actually link to the category archives.
Therefore I think you would just build it manually.
Thanks for the quick reply. No, I'm referring to the post carousel that drops down from the top of the page after you scroll down a few hundred pixels.

Ahh ok it was blocked by the Adblock extension.
Is the scroll down and display style a requirement? If so it will require a custom solution for sure.
The scroll down and display isn't a requirement. It could be always there.
Well in that case, take a look at the Query Loops block we will be introducing in GB 1.5.
It's currently in Release candidate 2 so we are getting close!
