What happens if user does not have font installed on computer

I just purchased GP Premium. There are some beautiful fonts in the Typography addon. What I am wondering is what happens if the person reading my blog does not have the font installed on their computer, or do they need it installed on their computer for it to show up properly? I don't want to pick something uncommon if it is not going to show up the way I want it to look for people.
All fonts are from Google repository (http://www.google.com/fonts)
So the user will be able to see your fonts.
If a font used by you are not available, the browser will use another like Arial, Verdana, ect.
Jean is correct - since all of the Google Fonts are hosted by and served by Google, the user doesn't need them to be installed on their computer in order to see them :)
