Website Layout 2.0 vs 3.0

When website layout 2.0 seems to be extremely easy to do with generatepress how to kickstart with creating website layout 3.0?
I am looking for general informations where to start.

The left site seems easy but the right one it's "future" and I am thinking if it's possible with generatepress and how?
