Would you please look at this and see if you could tell me what's going on? I just published this, and get this message instead of an excerpt?

Have you tried the same plugin with other themes? Since you've mentioned that it's newly updated, perhaps there's bug with the latest version.
That said, its be best to ask the plugin developer for any fix/update for this.
