Unfortunately the option to display text in the slider is only in the pro version as i understand it.
I guess I'll keep using Crelly Slider, which has all this for free.

Your second one has two dropdown arrows, you can remove one of them with this:

    display: none;
}

This is my basic site which is a constant experiment. I am using the code light widgets for a bit of animation at present. Probably a bit of overkill as you do when you find something new.
