But it seems the style sheets are not made for using a a submenu there? Any hints what to modify? If so go to Customizing > Colors > Primary Navigation > Sub-Menu Items > Background. Additionally you could go to Customizing > Layout > Primary Navigation to modify the width and height of sub menu.
