Video, GIF and picture portfolio

Hi everyone,

I would like to create a portfolio page with the same layout you can see at this link --> https://codex-themes.com/thegem/starting_page/themes.php?page=splash-portfolio-dark.

I need to show pictures, GIFs, and videos (the last two with autoplay), and I would like to have the possibility to open the elements both in a lightbox or on a project page exactly like in the link above, using buttons that appear on hover.

Do you have any suggestions about what plugins/codes I should use?
