Using the Elementor Menu

I'm playing with the new elementor menus today. I'm trying to figure out how to replace the menu on this site with the one on the page.
Can you please tell me how to make the new nav on the page replace the sites main nav. I can't figure out where to put the code, or the shortcode or whatever I need to do to get this working as the new nav.

Create your Elementor template, and place its shortcode in the after header hook. Then remove your GP navigation.
I did that and it appears but simply turning off the Menu-Plus in the GP settings did not remove the menu.
Is there something else I need to do to properly remove that menu?

In fact, this removes the padding from the menu area which I would love to leave as is.
