using the customizer to set default font size

I have a GP premium site at staging1.hardyness.com that uses Elementor on the Aspire starter site. In the Elementor settings I have disabled having Elementor pick the color and size of fonts.
I am trying to use the Customizer to set default font size and color.
Under typography in the Customizer, I have set the "body" font size, but it doesn't not seem to adjust the fonts I intended. In particular I am trying to set the size for the text on the homepage under "Work with Bridget," which I thought as body text. However, the adjustment of font size under body in the cutomizer doesn't seem to affect it.
Am I looking in the wrong place, or could you advise me on how I set the default font sizes and colors for the website?

The font size of those paragraphs are still set by Elementor as seen here:

If you are 100% sure that this is done then please check with their support on why it's still overwriting the theme setting.
