Using Semantic Grid in Top Bar

Hi.
I wanted to create two areas in my top bar (left 50% , right 50%) for messages or button.
So I did this
Under Layout. Top Bar Width is Full, Top Inner Bar Width is Full, Top Bar Alignment is Left.
Then in the Widgets area, for the top bar I added a text widget, and added the Unsemantic 2 column example, but the 2 grid columns are on the left and don't extend across the full width of the top bar. How do I get the columns to use the full top bar width?

Hi Martha,
By default, if you insert two separate widgets in top bar, one should be on the right and one should be on the left.
So no columns are needed.
