Using Secondary Nav menu to put address?
8 replies · Started by Shaun on January 16, 2018
Hi there, is there a way to put contact details like my phone number and address on the Secondary Nav menu? Kind of like this site: https://www.fortytwo.sg (see the top). Thanks in advance for any help!
Hi there,
Yup. What problem are you experiencing?
Maybe something like this would help: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/13662175/how-to-create-hyperlink-to-call-phone-number-on-mobile-devices
It's going to sound silly, but I can't figure out where to go to edit the secondary nav menu :(
You need to create a new menu:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/using-the-wordpress-menu-builder/#create-a%C2%A0new-menu
and set to secondary:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/using-the-wordpress-menu-builder/#setting-a-theme-location
That article has eveyrthing you need to know about WordPress menu.
Thanks Leo. What if I want to just add text, and maybe an icon or so? Is there an easy way to do it?
It may be better to use the Top Bar widget area instead: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/top-bar-widget-area/
Then you can use regular text widgets to add your information :)
That works great! Thanks so much Tom and Leo!!
Oops forgot to mark it as resolved
Glad we could help :)
