    Hello all,

So we’re trying to update our site to have a more modern look to it, and part of that would be given sort of a demo of what our site would look like to executives and such with GeneratePress. However, after installing GeneratePress Premium it seems that we can’t use the new features in the WordPress Live Preview builder unless we totally switch over the theme site’s current theme. Our intern (who’s doing a lot of this for us) showed us this screenshot saying that this is what was shown when he tried to configure the Premium options for GP, and it seems to him (and us) that we can’t actually use GP Premium features until we entirely switch over our WordPress theme.

Is this the case, or is there a way for us to take advantage of the premium features to create a sort of demo in the live preview for the site before we push the new theme?

    Hi there,

Ah yes, the theme must be activated in order to use the premium version.

You can always build your site on a staging server (in a sub-folder) on your hosting so it doesn’t affect the live website. Then when it’s done, use a plugin like Duplicator to move it over to the live domain.

Let me know if you need more info 🙂
