Using pages instead of latest post on homepage

create a new Page for your home page.
And then set this as your home page in Dashboard > Settings > Reading.

Thanks for your response, I know that bit my problem is how have an actual homepage setting/template. I don’t want the home page looking like a post or page. Many thanks.

No I haven't, was wondering if you guys had a template page for that theme. I know all about the settings - reading but I was looking to get a guide on how to build the blocks using css.

I meant a template for a frontpage. I need to have a frontpage and i know how to set that in - Dashboard > Settings > Reading.

Sorry i am not explaining myself properly, if you take a look at my website-HOMEPAGE you would see that it has posts. Basically i am looking to change that to a hompage and not a page with posts.. I know that the settings can be activated at Dashboard > Settings > Reading but how do i go about having a proper homepage and not one that displays like a page or a post.

You can just create a new page with your design, then assign that static page as your homepage at Dashboard > Settings > Reading.
