using mobile menu on desktop

Hi, I'm using the mobile menu on the desktop. Is there a way to make the menu expand WITHOUT pushing the content on the page down? Or perhaps have it slide out from the side instead of pushing the content down. http://dev.shakeitupcreative.com/testing/ Look forward to hearing from you. Thank you!

Hi, thank you. That is much better. But how do I get it to slide out from the right side instead of from the left side?
And, how can I change the padding? There is too much space in between each page link. Thank you!

There's a new option in GPP 1.3 that targets the menu item height for the slide-out menu only as well: Customize > Layout > Slide-out Navigation.
