Using generateblocks on Header Element

Hello
Currently, I'm using Header (type) Element to style my homepage header. I find this method of editing the hero header very challenging as I've to make use of raw h1, p, ahref tags to style the output and the result is too rudimentary.
I see I can use the Block (type) Element and hook it using "Site Header" but I didn't find some meta as present in the Header Element. Such as, "Merge with Content", "Offset Site Header".
Is using Block element and hooking into Site Header the recommended way to design or should I hook into "Page Hero"? Will I need to offset the header and merge content using some CSS hacks?
Thanks
Hi there,
You can actually use the Header Element to work in tandem with the Block (element) - Page hero.
Here's how to do it:
First, create your Hero section on Block Element. Have this as its setting:

After you're done with this, you can create a Header element and keep it empty. Set it to merge, and set its offset.
You then set its display rule location the same w/ the Block element you've just created.
This should still merge the header section with the hero section you've created with the Block Element.
Note: This is actually being used by Site Library templates. Ethos does this and there are more.
