Using generate Press- Want to show home page with a certain set of categories.

Hi
How can I configure my home page with a selected few categories while ignoring other categories.
I did see some script in another support topic where a script was provided to do one specific category
1. Need a script to add multiple category to a page and ignore others
2. While providing the script- could you please explain where(which file) to add it. Can I add it from wp-admin console?
