Using em for font size

I was wondering if there is a reason you use px instead of em for font sizes? It seems like it would make responsive design easier with em. You use em for line height so I was confused.
Hi there,
Someone actually asked this question in our Facebook forum recently. See Tom's replies: https://s18.postimg.org/e9h7m0qkp/2017-12-31_0945.png
Ok thanks, I thought it was strange there wasn't an option. I decided to just deactivate the typography module and add the font sizes and families myself. However I notice even when deactivated the options for fonts still seem to be included in inline css, for example the google font I had selected is still being included in the page.
Hmm I assume the default body font is still being added.
You can customize the Google font list if you need to? https://docs.generatepress.com/article/customizing-the-google-font-list/
If this doesn't help can you link me to the page in question?
