Using archive element in Query loop

Hi,
I'm trying to use the archive template in a section of the front page with the query loop.

Is there any way I can do that?

I tried many things for hours but doesn't seem to work anyway. Hope you can help.

Hi there,

we're adding our own Query Loop block in GenerateBlocks 1.5:

With it you can build that layout on a static page.
Its in Beta but we're only 1 - 2 weeks away from a final release.
