I noticed recently using Site Origin that it allowed using page builder on the elements area of GP. After enabling, it still appears to only display the HTML only interface. So my question is whether it is possible to use the chosen page builder to also build out elements? Thank you

    Hi there,

I would be surprised if it worked inside of Elements. Is that just using a Hook Element?

Our 1.11.0 update has a new Block Element which allows you to use the block editor: https://generatepress.com/gp-premium-1-11-0-block-elements/

Here’s what I see when the builder option is enabled:

If I choose the builder option, it loads the elements screen with the builder at the very bottom like this.

Unfortunately nothing put into the builder interface does anything for the element. Honestly, I’m not sure what SiteOrigin uses to implement the builder code into usable HTML/CSS/etc. From the reply, it sounds like the GP elements is indeed not compatible with this option?

Yeah the page builders doesn’t work in Elements unfortunately.

What you can do is to create your content (like Elementor template) using the page builder then insert the shortcode in a hook element.

Use the siteorigin page builder to build what you want using the visual editor. Once happy switch to txt (HTML) view and copy the contents into the desired location of the GP interface. It works really well, like for designing text in headers and hero pages, or getting the code for buttons etc.
