Hi there, I like some of the designs in the Site Library, on my frontpage only, and keep the GP theme for the rest of my pages, to keep my custom CSS, not at least.
So here is a suggestion, to offer the frontpages of the Site Library themes as Hero templates either in GeneratePress or GenerateBlocks?
Regards

Thanks for the suggestion – it’s a bit difficult to achieve unfortunately.
We are happy to provide the HTML code for any pages in the site library templates for you though.
Then you can paste it in using this method:

Just to clarify, does this affect only my frontpage, or all pages, I was thinking about the design of the header menu?
If I decide to replace the whole site template with one from the site library, will I then need to create a new child theme for this template or does this template use the old GP child theme?
Almost all my custom CSS are about BuddyPress design, I guess I just copy this to the new theme, but will this mess up my BP design?
Thanks!

of all the Sites, Dispatch is the one that can’t be simply copied – it uses WP Show Posts ( still ) and a lot of custom code to make that layout. It is something we will be updating to a block based layout.
If you want to take on that effort, then you can see this topic on how just to make the Front Page Magazine hero:

I’m running a BuddyPress member site. Will the Header and the Primary Navigation from this be the same throughout the site on all pages, or just on the frontpage, and the members sites the GP header style?

None of the magazine style sites are built with block currently, but we’re working on it.

Primary navigation would be the same, but the display location of the hero section usually can be changed, it depends on the site template.

Usually hero section would be added by using a
block element - page hero
, here’s the documentation with video tutorio:\
