Use GP Premium after 1 year without extending license?

Hi,
I have bought GP Premium and saw now that it is possible to extend the license after one year. Is it mandatory to extend the license to use GP Premium after one year? Or can GP Premium continue to be used after one year without renewing the license - and without updates and support?

GP Premium will continue to work, but you won't receive future updates or premium support in this forum.
If you no longer receive GP Premium updates, it's possible that your version will become incompatible with new WP/GP updates (unlikely), so you might need to stick with older versions if that happens.
