Use blog parameters for displaying category posts

The blog parameters are perfect for me to display the posts on the blog page. However, to display category posts on other pages means using a widget/plugin (I use the Elementor builder) that ignores your GP customizer blog settings. Is there a plugin/shortcode/etc to display posts by category yet still use all the GP parameters and formatting?

Unfortunately there isn't one that will inherit the customizer setting.
I would recommend Tom's WP Show Posts: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-show-posts/
You should be able to get it close pretty easily.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. Second thought, could I use the GP blog display code for displaying category posts from a filter or callback?
