I would like to add a preview in a Right Side Bar widget. I put the url in the box on Customize -> Right Side Bar -> Widget, but it just prints the url. I don’t see the page or preview when Published. Can you please help me?

I’m not sure what you mean – what preview are you wanting to add?
I want to have a right side bar that shows a preview of page on the site (mindiq.com). I just want to put in a URL. But it shows the text of the URL instead of a preview.
For a preview, look at the https://mindiq.com/introduction-to-java-programming-version-8/ and go to the bottom of the page. You will see previews of other pages there. All I did was put a URL on the page.I’m not sure if WordPress allows oembed in text widgets. It might be worth asking over in the support forum on WordPress.org.
I tried that. 🙂 However, I have looked several times and cannot locate the “Post a question” button on their site. So, I gave up. I did get an answer at https://wordpress.stackexchange.com He suggested: <iframe src=”http://yoururl”></iframe> But, that shows the whole page, including the Menu. Also tried it without the iframe. No luck. Hard to believe nobody else has tried to put a page preview in a widget.
It is. I haven’t personally had the need, so I’ve never looked into it. Perhaps try opening a new stackexchange topic?
