Upgrading GP Premium

Hi,
Hope youre well!
I have 2 wordpress sites, one of them is a staging site.
I just updated to newest version of wordpress on my staging site and im trying to upgrade GP Premium from Wordpress adminpanel and getting status failed every time.
If i update it through manual upload, will it affect my license on my live site?
Or is it allowed to have the licens on 1 official page and 1 staging?

if you're receiving an unauthorized message with the update then see here:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/updating-issues/#getting-an-unauthorized-message
If you manually update the plugin, ie remove and upload new, all your old settings will remain.
