Updting to Wordpress 5.6

After updating to wordpress 5.6 I am no longer able to use customize under appearances. All I get is widgets with the following:
Your theme has 11 widget areas, but this particular page doesn’t display them.
You can navigate to other pages on your site while using the Customizer to view and edit the widgets displayed on those pages.

Any chance you can disable all plugins except GP Premium to eliminate conflicts from other plugins first?

I changed the theme from the override generate press theme to the generate-press theme. Than switched back and everything works.
